Tree House Books, Philadelphia PA

Pella Gunton partnered with Tree House Books on a replacement window project to support the organization's mission of expanding access to books, strengthening literacy skills and inspiring a lifelong love of reading and writing.

Founded in 2005, Tree House Books is a giving library and literacy center that provides free books to children and families, along with Out of School Time (OST) programs that encourage literacy development. As part of Major League Baseball's All-Star Legacy Initiative, funding helped support plans to double the children's library and upgrade the space, creating more opportunities for children and families to learn and grow.

For this project, Pella Reserve Contemporary aluminum-clad wood casement windows were selected to complement the updated space. Featuring expansive glass, narrow sightlines and sleek, squared-off sash profiles, these windows offer a clean, modern aesthetic while allowing natural light to fill the interior.

The Pella Reserve Contemporary collection combines contemporary design with the warmth of wood interiors. Hinged at the side and opening to the exterior, the casement windows offer a streamlined look that complements the architectural vision.

The project architect was Studio 6mm, and McDonald Building Company served as the builder. Pella Gunton is proud to have contributed to the Tree House Books renovation, supporting a space dedicated to education, community and a lifelong love of reading.
