The Philadelphia Commercial Team is proud to spotlight Simmons Hall at The Linsly School in Wheeling, West Virginia, a new residence hall designed to provide modern housing for the school's boarding students.

Founded in 1814 by Noah Linsly, The Linsly School is an independent, coeducational college-preparatory day and boarding school serving students in grades 5–12. Located in Wheeling, Linsly describes itself as the oldest preparatory school west of the Alleghenies.

Simmons Hall officially opened for the 2026–27 school year, replacing the aging Weiss Hall, which had housed boarding students since 1958. The approximately 19,000-square-foot, two-story residence hall includes 24 double-occupancy rooms with space for 48 students, three faculty residences, two student lounges, a warming kitchen, laundry facilities and an outdoor gathering area.

For this project, Pella Impervia single-hung and direct set windows were selected for the new residence hall. Built with durable fiberglass, Pella Impervia windows provide lasting performance and are designed to withstand the demands of a busy educational environment.

The combination of single-hung and direct set windows brings natural light into the residence hall while complementing the building's modern design. The windows provide a durable, energy-efficient solution that supports the comfort and functionality of the new student living spaces.
