College Hall, University of Pennsylvania - Philadelphia PA
The Philadelphia Commercial Team recently completed a window renovation project at College Hall at the University of Pennsylvania, helping preserve the historic character of one of the campus's most recognizable buildings.
Completed in 1873, College Hall is the oldest building on the University's West Philadelphia campus. Designed by Thomas Webb Richards in the Gothic Revival style, the building originally housed all University functions and continues to serve the campus today, with offices, classrooms and undergraduate admissions. College Hall was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1978, making the preservation of its architectural character an important part of the renovation.

For this project, Pella Reserve Traditional single-hung wood windows were selected to maintain the building's historic appearance while providing modern functionality. Featuring authentic detailing, through-stile construction, historic putty profiles and traditional spoon-lock hardware, these windows reflect the craftsmanship and proportions of classic architectural design.
The Pella Reserve Traditional collection offers a range of customization options, including Integral Light Technology grilles and durable aluminum-clad exteriors in a variety of colors. Additional features, such as three-way corner joints and the integrated Rolscreen retractable screen, combine traditional aesthetics with thoughtful modern design.
